Key fob driving location

where do you put your key when driving ?? mines attached quite large bunch of keys and safe anti fly-around surfaces or storage holes aint that available even cup holders too small

Mine never leaves my pocket, except when my jeans are in the wash. Though my Focus key did go through the wash once....

mine has a garage door fob so i keep it usually in the small compartment behind the cup holders or in the cup holder if i plan to drive in such a manner where it'll fall out of the other pocket. the door pocket is huge (bottomless i'd say) so if you have a massive amount of keys that might work. i have a famous worn out checkered plastic bag full of the all the keys to cars in my 'capannone' (==industrial unit) and that lives in the door pocket when i'm going there.

Yes, I keep my garage door opener plipper in there on a chunk of sticky mat so it doesn't slide about.

Yup. The one on the dash in front of the vents keeps my phone in position regardless of G-Force

I put the key in that on my test drive and had to catch the thing twice

Yes, the sticky rubber mat cut to size is the key (no pun intended!)

...sounds like most folk have their car key loose or separate from house, garage, gate etc keys if that's case is it just the fob loose or do you attach something to it that makes it less losable like a tag or lanyard etc that makes it easier to locate

for me the idea of a stand alone fob would terrify me, the thought how easy would be to loose it

Just the "key" always loose in my left jeans pocket (Focus) and right jeans pocket (Yaris). Not easy to lose there!
